HOW YOU CAN HELP
For more than 100 years, active and dedicated Christians have worked at Morton Memorial United Methodist Church in the Monteagle area and surrounding communities to share God's love and help improve the quality of life for ALL of the area's residents. Our recent expansion to create accessible facilities and a community gathering space was nearly paid for before it was finished because our laity and clergy are committed. It was paid in full last year! If you are looking for a way to be about the work of building God's Kingdom on earth, join us, support us, walk with us. You will be welcome!!
WAYS YOU CAN DONATE
There are several ways to make donations online or without writing a check.
First, the least expensive method is to use your bank’s bill pay system. Contact your bank or ask David Pilcher, treasurer, if you need help setting it up.
Second, ACH is an inexpensive way to send funds online via ChurchTrac and is easily available through your bank or on this webpage. See above.
Third, online giving via ChurchTrac, using your credit or debit cards, is by far the most expensive. The fees can be as high as 3 to 4 percent. The website does give you the option to check that you will pay the full amount, thereby making sure the church receives your intended donation. If you have any questions about this, please call David Pilcher, treasurer, at 615-430-1496.
We feel that donating by credit card is fine if you regularly pay off your card balance each month. Credit card debt can be extremely expensive. Therefore, the church does not recommend using your credit card to donate, if you are already paying interest charges on your card. Using a debit card or one of the less expensive methods mentioned above would be a better option.
